Ivan McCormick - Guitar and Vocals
Ivan’s musical journey has been something of a rollercoaster ride, possibly the Big Dipper. Starting in 1976 with premature success, the precocious upstart joined his first band, U2, you may have heard of them. During a disagreement at rehearsal a stand-off developed when Bono said, “Look Ivan, we can either do this with or without you”…the rest, as they say, is history. Supposedly lightning never strikes twice, but who can really be sure? Perhaps he still hasn’t found what he’s looking for, but he just may with MYHYA - 29 Fingers crossed
Martin Lowde - Keyboards
Having spent a 30 year career in the media business, and now running the 3Megos animation studio, Martin has decided to return to his first love of writing and
performing music. Martin's musical roots come from more of the jazz side of life and now working with Ivan, who hails from the pop world, the two have blended their styles and compositions to create
a unique exciting new sound.
Andrea Lowde - Vocals
Andrea's unique voice and powerful performances have been honed by over 30 years in the music business. From cruise ships to the west end, and from Abba Gold to her own jazz quartet, she never fails to entertain. Andrea is also now Principal and CEO of the new stage school - RHCAST, helping to bring through the next generation of amazing performers.
Andrew Eveleigh - Drums
Andrew began his drumming life performing Beatles songs for a school concert and has never looked back. A Diploma graduate (top student award) of London’s Drumtech he is a dedicated player having given up corporate life to turn fully professional in 2022. Experienced in a wide range of genres and recommended by his peers for his "tasteful approach to serving the song", he has firmly established himself on the home counties jazz scene.
Robert Rickenberg - Double Bass
A graduate of the Guildhall School of Music, Robert has been an established bassist in London for over 30 years. He got an early break when he played at the Cork Jazz Festival and was spotted by the great American saxophonist Spike Robinson, who invited him to join his band Young Lions Old Tigers with Derek Nash, Nick Weldon and Pete Cater. That band has recently reformed with James Alsopp on tenor. Described by Jazz Review as “a real gem of a player, with a rich dark sound…spot on the beat.” Robert has played alongside numerous British & American greats such as New York cabaret stars Jeff Harner and Joely Fisher, opera diva singer Melinda Hughes and jazz legend Mark Murphy. He has also played and recorded for a wide range of projects in other fields including with pop divas Kylie & Dannii Minogue, boyband Westlife, comedians Punt & Dennis & composer Howard Blake (The Snowman).
Stacey Dawson - Sax
Internationally renowned alto saxophonist Stacey Dawson has played regularly throughout Europe and at some of London’s leading jazz clubs, including the 606 club, the 100 club and Ealing and Brecon Jazz festivals. He has been asked to perform for Tony Blair, Prince Charles at High Grove and Barack Obama at the American Embassy. He has also performed for Maserati and Aston Martin. Currently he is the resident saxophonist at the Dorchester Hotel and regularly performs at the Savoy and Claridge’s hotel.
Charlie Corn - TromboneCharlie can usually be found with a trombone in his hand, playing with the brass quintet Hart of Brass and the Charlie can usually be found with a trombone in his hand, playing with the brass quintet Hart of Brass and the Basingstoke Symphony Orchestra and depping for many local groups. As a student he led the trombones for the prestigious Cambridge University Jazz Orchestra, playing alongside leading artists and touring abroad.
Katie Smith - TrumpetCharlie can usually be found with a trombone in his hand, playing with the brass quintet Hart of Brass and the Having studied Music at the University of Manchester, Katie has performed with a variety of high-quality orchestras and ensembles across UK, USA, Italy, France, Germany and the Czech Republic. She's also played in over 40 musical pit orchestras and is a founding member of Hart of Brass.
